In 2021, I hit my breaking point.

I was ashamed that even as a lifetime home cook with a culinary degree and professional sous-chef experience, I was still struggling with the extreme highs-and-lows of inconsistently nourishing myself:

either I was meal prepping from an over-stuffed fridge, spending burdensome & tiring hours cooking, OR I was working through meal time, pushing through hanger, with a fridge full of nothing.

So I committed to breaking the mold of the limited options that currently exist in the culinary education space: because you don’t need professional training or xperiential classes where you learn to make complicated dishes you go home and never make again 😬…

I’m here to do something completely different.

ICYMI, I’m Micole 👋🏼

…a native New Yorker who was a foodie before that term was in the common lexicon. At age 12, I was dreaming up restaurant menus for fun and well - not much has changed.

The Kitchen by Micole aims to bring cooking into the 21st century, empowering women to take back their power in the kitchen in a modern way that is sustainable & realistic, prioritizing nourishment over perfection, so they can spend their time achieving their big dreams… all because I believe this world needs more women in positions of leadership.

A lot happened before I ended up here.
👠 First, a decade working in the fashion industry…
👩🏽‍🍳
Then Professional Culinary & Food Writing studies
🔪 Working as a private event Sous Chef to 3x Chopped champion, Chef Adriana Urbina
✍🏼 And finally, recipe development, brand sponsored & corporate cooking demos, and then…

Outside of the kitchen, you can find me in the studio where I offer visual storytelling solutions to food & wellness brands, creating vivid imagery to set their stories in motion.
